Balakov is pleased with his players and the terrain in Blagoevgrad
The main coach of Chernomorets Burgas, Krasimir Balakov praise his players for the character shown in the duel with Pirin, which Chernomorets won with 3:1 in Blagoevgrad. Balakov admitted that the victory is the perfect gift for his birthday which is today.
"It was obvious that in Pirin's team there is an embarrassment from the fact that they play on the new terrain for the first time. They were more embarrassed than us. The same happened to us in the game against Beroe. The psychology is a very important thing in football. On the other hand my players showed that they wanted to win at any cost to make me happy for my birthday. I have never received a better present. A compliment for the character we showed", said Balakov after the end of the game.
"We began a good game and ruled the things on the terrain. Gradually we slowed down and Pirin even had the chance to make the result equal. If the result was 2:2 the game would have developed in a different way. There are things for correction. We still cannot find the necessary rhythm and keep the enemy away from our goal especially at 2:0. We left the nemey and motivated him. For my luck we showed again a character and I think that well-deserved we won with 3:1. I greet the hosts for the perfect organization.
